European Stability Mechanism (ESM) / European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) provides financial assistance, under strict conditions, to euro area countries experiencing financial difficulties. In parallel with the ESM, the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) continues with the programmes that were started before the launch of the ESM. |
